The Young And The Restless Star Christel Khalil Lands Role In New Exciting Project
Christel Khalil, who is known as Lily Ashby in The Young and The Restless, lands an exciting new project in a film that is written and directed by Todd Wolfe. Khalil will play the role of Aly Fulton in the movie titled, We Need to Talk. She will be working with James Maslow, Tray Chaney, and Jonathan Fernandez to name a few.
The film is still in pre-production stages and details are yet to be revealed. So far, it was revealed that the movie will revolve around a social media star who struggles to figure out how to communicate with the people he loves but manages to engage with her millions of fans every day.

Viewers of The Young and the Restless may recall that Khalil decided to switch from contract to recurring status with the sudser last year.
In an Instagram post, she said, “Hello Lovelies! I wanted you to be the first to know that if you see less of me on @youngandrestlesscbs, it’s because I have decided to switch from Y&R full time to recurring status. That means I’m not leaving, just ready (after 16 amazing years playing Lily) to explore new things! I will continue to be a proud member of the Y&R family and look forward to further adventures playing Lily. Thank you for all the love and support over the years! xoxo Christel.”
Young And Restless Spoilers– Khalil Honored Kristoff Last Month
Khalil debuted her character, Lily, in The Young and the Restless in 2002. She left Paris with Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell) and showed up on Neil Winter’s home. She got involved with Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart). She is now married to Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) and was tried in court for vehicular homicide.
Khalil appeared on episodes that featured Neil Winter’s (Kristoff St. John) death on April 25 and 26. She also returned for the special tribute episode on April 29 that honored Kristoff St. John, who passed away in February. It was revealed that St. John died due to heart disease along with an accidental alcohol overdose. Shemar Moore and Eileen Davidson also reappeared on the soap for the tribute.
