Here’s When Meghan Markle Will Be Making Her Next Public Appearance
Meghan Markle has only been out of the spotlight for one week now and her fans already can’t wait to see her again! The Duchess of Sussex is currently on her maternity leave with her newborn son Archie Harrison, however, it looks like royal fans might be seeing her in public again sooner rather than later. Here’s what you need to know.
Meghan Markle Could Make An Appearance At The Trooping Of The Colour
Although not confirmed, many royal fans believe that Meghan Markle will make an appearance at this year’s Trooping of the Colour. The annual event will take place on Saturday, June 8 at 10 am local time in London. As many fans can recall, Kate Middleton attended the event last year even though she was technically still on her maternity leave after giving birth to her third child, Prince Louis, several months earlier.

Paying tribute to all mothers today – past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered. We honor and celebrate each and every one of you. Today is Mother’s Day in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Japan, and several countries across Europe. This is the first Mother’s Day for The Duchess of Sussex. That’s why a lot of people believe that Meghan will attend the event too even though she’s not obligated to do so. Plus, Buckingham Palace has made no comments about it, either.
Meghan Markle Runs The Couples Instagram Page
With that said, the Duchess of Sussex has made it pretty clear that she’s not wasting any of her time behind the scenes. Even though she is at home spending quality time with Prince Harry and their newborn Archie, there’s speculation that she might also be working on the couple’s Instagram account, Sussex Royal. A lot of eagle-eyed royal observers believe that it’s Meghan who is writing the captions behind their posts.

Today, The Duke of Sussex visited Oxford to highlight the positive work being done in the city for young children, disabled people and the community at large. The Duke started his day meeting young patients at the Oxford Children’s Hospital. In 2016 at the @WellChild Awards, The Duke promised awardee Mikayla Beames he would visit her at hospital. Today, HRH was able to fulfill that promise and spend time with Mikayla and other patients and their families, along with the some of the extraordinary staff and teachers in the Hospital School who are on hand to support the young patients as they continue their studies whilst in hospital. Afterwards, The Duke of Sussex, in celebration of its 30th year, re-opened the OXSRAD Disability Sports and Leisure Centre, a facility first opened by his mother, Diana Princess of Wales in 1989. His Royal Highness felt honoured to pay tribute to her work and meet some of the people his mother met 30 years ago. This centre supports people with disabilities through sport and physical exercise – an area The Duke is particularly passionate about. HRH has seen the transformative effect sports, teamwork and exercise can have on people, not just physically but also for their mental fitness. The Duke’s final stop was at Barton Neighbourhood Centre to see the work of Thrive Teams, an initiative that supports at risk youth with access to education and employment. The Barton Centre includes a cafe, doctor’s office, sports hall, local police centre and food bank. The team there save nearly one tonne of food per day from being wasted and whip up some incredible meals for those that can’t afford to sustain themselves. Serving as a hub for this close-knit community, where 1 in 4 grow up in child poverty, this centre truly is a lifeline for its roughly 5,000 residents, but also an example of what can be achieved when we all come together.
Previous reports have indicated that Meghan is looking to head back to work as soon as possible. She already has a few royal engagements on her calendar for October penciled in. Some believe that the Duchess of Sussex might head back to work earlier than expected.
Even though she loves her new role as a mother, there’s no doubt that she’s also very passionate and committed to her work as a member of the royal family, too. We have a feeling that Meghan Markle will do a great job of juggling both her work and her role as a new mom just fine. Plus, we can’t wait to see more pics of little Archie in the future!
