B&B Star Ashley Jones

Soap opera legend, Ashely Jones, who is known for her notable roles in The Bold and The Beautiful and General Hospital, stars in Lifetime’s thriller film, Homekilling Queen.

In the movie, Jones takes on the role of Connie Manning whose daughter is willing to do anything just to be crowned as the homecoming queen. In an interview, Jones said her character in the new movie isn’t “evil by any means” and that her main objective is “to keep her likable.”

She added, Connie is “smart, efficient and always get what she wants — at any cost. This time, things get out of hand and she questions her choices in life-related to her daughter.”

B&B Star Talks About Her Movie Role

What Jones like about the film is that it is multigenerational. Her on-screen daughter Whitney Manning (Kaitlyn Bernard) will stop at nothing to get the crown. She may even have murdered her major rival Natasha Hart (Kayleigh Shikanai) to get what she wants. Unfortunately, Whitney’s attitude is greatly affected by the environment where she grew up and the people she’s with, her mother and grandmother. She was raised in a home where winning is everything.

Jones played Parker Forsyth in General Hospital for 20 episodes. She said Lexi Ainsworth is doing an amazing job as Kristina. There has been a Parker reference a while back, but she has not heard anything from the show yet. She’s definitely willing to go back if there’s more to tell about the character.

Jones Stays In Contact With Her B&B Co-Stars!

Meanwhile, Jones also said she’s still in touch with her friends from The Bold and The Beautiful and she’s constantly posting about it in her social media. She even said that her friends and family have continued to watch the soap even though she’s no longer part of it.

Jones has been a series regular on The Bold and The Beautiful between 2004 and 2018. Her other TV credits include The Young and The Restless, True Blood, and Major Crimes. She’s received several acting nominations.

In 1999 and 2000, she got nominated for Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for her work in The Young and The Restless. In 2005, she got nominated for Daytime Emmy Awards for Most Irresistible Combination in The Bold and The Beautiful.
