The Young and the Restless spoilers has some great news to pass on about a former Y&R star. Abhi Sinha, who portrayed Ravi Shapur on the CBS soap, shared some great news on social media – he recently got engaged to his girlfriend Helen Kim while they were on a trip to Africa.

Abhi shared the news with his followers on Instagram. He posted a photo of himself proposing along with the following message: “While at Sabi Sands we saw a beautiful bird called The Lilac Breasted Roller. Our guides @nombekana and @c.rob_wildlifephotography told us that the feathers of these birds are very rare. They are so rare and valuable, that often local men will use the feathers to propose to women.”

He continued: “While I wasn’t able to obtain a Lilac Breasted Roller’s feather – I did have a ring that I had been carrying close to the vest, non-stop for several weeks. And I couldn’t think of a better place to propose than in Amboseli, right in front of Kilimanjaro.”

“On June 17, 2019 – I asked the love of my life to marry me. Best decision of my life. (Because she said yes!) I love you so much Helen, and cannot wait to marry you. Fiancé has a nice ring to it for sure. (Ok I’m done).”

That’s a sweet story and sentiment for sure. And some of Abhi’s Y&R co-stars have responded to his announcement. Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Newman) offered a big congratulations, and Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin) said, “OMG!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!! CONGRATS!!!”

And Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) responded to Abhi’s post with, “#RaviBond schoolin all the fools when it comes to dropping the romance bomb!!!! Congrats mate!!!!!”

Our congratulations go out to Abhi and Helen on their engagement – we wish them all the best!
