The Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday, July 8: Chelsea Rejects Backstabbing Adam, He’s Not Giving Up – Phyllis’ Deadly Suspicions
“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Monday, July 8, tease that Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will face questions about her husband’s death. In her suite, Chelsea explains to Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) that she woke up to find Calvin Boudreau (John Burke) dead after they went to sleep. After Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) offers to let Chelsea stay at his place, she accepts.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) isn’t happy about that, but Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) advises against going after Chelsea. She feels Chelsea could use some space right now. However, Adam ignores Phyllis’ advice and heads over to see Chelsea anyway. Before he arrives, Chelsea confides in Nick and gets updates on Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) passing. She’s saddened since she hadn’t heard.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chelsea Snaps At Adam
Adam ultimately shows up to make another pitch. Once he’s alone with Chelsea, he points out that they’ve been given a gift. There are no more roadblocks standing in the way, so they can be the way they were meant to be. Chelsea’s appalled and argues that Calvin’s death wasn’t a gift at all. She rants about Adam stabbing her in the back by meeting with Calvin earlier as well.
Adam notes that no threats were made and once again insists he wants his family back. Chelsea just wants to be free since she’s not the woman she once was. Nick appears and backs Chelsea up on her desire for freedom. At the park, Phyllis bumps into Paul and notes that Chelsea was Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) attacker at Crimson Lights. Paul wonders why Phyllis is choosing to bring it up now.
Phyllis implies that it wasn’t important before since Chelsea left Genoa City. Talk turns to Phyllis’ alleged vacation, which Paul is suspicious about. He wants the truth and mentions Phyllis’ link to Adam. Phyllis makes it clear that they just have some common interests and directs Paul’s attention back to Chelsea’s husband. He notes that there was seemingly no foul play involved in Calvin’s death, but Phyllis doesn’t seem as certain.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Warns Adam
At Dark Horse, Adam’s outburst lets Phyllis know he didn’t listen about staying away from Chelsea. He feels like Nick’s swooping in and using Calvin’s death to his advantage. Phyllis thinks this is a real pot calling the kettle black situation, but she doesn’t think Adam should pursue Chelsea anyway. She contends that Adam’s just setting himself up for disappointment.
Adam refuses to accept that things are over and vows to get his family back – no matter who has to destroy! Meanwhile, Chelsea continues to lean on Nick. She fears Calvin’s death will give Adam even more of a claim on Connor Newman (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). Chelsea decides she’ll have to tell Connor, so Nick insists he can come along. When he brings her some food later, Chelsea’s fast asleep.

Over with Ana Hamilton (Loren Lott), she tries to get Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to speak with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Ana still isn’t keen on having someone babysit her, so she argues Nate’s perspective might help. Nate thinks Ana should see what happens with this new arrangement first. He also pushes Ana to start making her personal life more of a priority.
Nate speaks with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) on Monday as well. He assumes Elena may be rattled over Calvin’s demise since she found her own mother dead. Nate provides some support and insists she’s got people on her side.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Summer And Theo Get Their Romance Back On Track
Summer Newman (Hunter King) finds Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) at Crimson Lights and notes that she saw him with Ana. Theo clarifies that it was about work before Summer apologizes. She declares that she’s done griping about Kyle, so Theo’s eager to get their romance back on track.
When Ana arrives, Theo suggests a crossover featuring Jett Slade (Gilbert Glenn Brown). Ana shoots down the idea, so Theo realizes maybe she’s still holding a grudge over his hiring. She’s reached a place of acceptance and hopes they can talk to resolve any problems that come up.
Theo turns his attention back to Summer eventually. He’s never met anybody like her before and thinks she should be a Jabot Collective influencer. Theo assures Summer he could help her out with her brand. They head over to Theo’s suite later and have a pretty wild hookup.
