General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Hayden Barnes’ (Rebecca Budig) return will kick off more drama in Port Charles. The actress shares that she was excited to see her co-stars and crew, as it has been a little while since she has seen them.
In fact, Budig said that one of her favorite make up artist had a baby since she had seen her last. Before her first day on the set, she came in for a fitting. She saw Michael Easton (Finn Hamilton), Emme Rylan (Lulu Falconeri), and Kirsten Storms (Maxie Davis).
The actress sat down with Soap Opera Digest to share details about her GH comeback. Here’s what you need to know about what’s ahead on the ABC soap opera.
General Hospital – Rebecca Is Glad To Be Back
When it was time to step back into the role of Hayden, she wasn’t nervous. She had already worked with all the cast before, and it was like coming home. She said that even though it’s been really fast-paced, it is really good to be back.
One of the big changes that Rebecca saw right away was the Nina Reeves swap. The GH star had worked with Cynthia Watros on Guiding Light. She recalled she went to her wedding and they were very close friends.
“I was great friends with this girl. We just lost track of each other over the years. To see her face, was such a joy. I can’t even begin to tell you,” Rebecca said.
General Hospital News – Budig’s First Day Was Rough
Despite so many happy reunions on her first day, it was a very hectic return. GH star revealed that she was trying to get her footing and get used to being back.
After the day, she was happy that she got through the day. One of her favorite things about her return is working with Ingo Rademacher (Jasper Jacks), someone who she has never worked with before.
Rebecca said she has known Ingo and he’s always so kind and nice. And, working with him, is wonderful. He’s always prepared and she is thrilled to see where the storyline leads between Hayden and Jax.
