Prince Harry - Meghan Markle - Archie HarrisonIt looks as though little Archie Harrison will just be getting one sibling in the future and that’s it. That’s because his father Prince Harry has made it pretty clear that he just wants two children with his wife, Meghan Markle and as the royal puts it: “That’s it!” Here’s what he has to say.

In his interview with Dr. Jane Goodall, the two talk about wanting to make a change in the world and how having a child makes you see what is happening to the environment.

The interview is part of Meghan Markle’s highly-anticipated September issue of British Vogue that she helped to guest edit several months ago.

Duke And Duchess Of Sussex Welcomed Their First Child Back In May

As a matter of fact, Prince Harry even made a pledge that he and Meghan will only be having two children. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their first child Archie Harrison back in May.

Earlier this summer HRH The Duke of Sussex met with world renowned ethologist Dr. Jane Goodall for an intimate conversation on environment, activism, and the world as they see it. This special sit-down was requested by The Duchess of Sussex, who has long admired Dr. Goodall and wanted to feature her in the September issue of @BritishVogue, which HRH has guest edited. HRH and Dr. Goodall spoke candidly about many topics including the effects of unconscious bias, and the need for people to acknowledge that your upbringing and environment can cause you to be prejudiced without realising it. The Duke described that “[when] you start to peel away all the layers, all the taught behaviour, the learned behaviour, the experienced behaviour, you start to peel all that away – and at the end of the day, we’re all humans.” • Through @RootsandShoots the global youth service program @JaneGoodallInst founded in 1991, she has created and encouraged a global youth community to recognise the power of their individual strength – that each day you live, you can make a difference. The new family of three have been enjoying their life at the recently renovated Frogmore Cottage, on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

“Two, maximum!” Prince Harry said. “But I’ve always thought: this place is borrowed. And, surely, being as intelligent as we all are, or as evolved as we all are supposed to be, we should be able to leave something better behind for the next generation.”

Prince Harry Didn’t Explain Why Will Limit His Children To Two

Now as far as why Prince Harry is capping the number at two, he didn’t explain. Seeing how the royal has always been very comfortable with kids, a lot of people had assumed that he and Meghan were planning to have a big family. Apparently, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.

In the same interview, the Duke of Sussex also complimented Dr. Jane Goodall on her work with children, as the two of them also talked about human behavior.

“What I love about your work is that you focus on the younger generation. [When] you start to peel away all the layers, all the taught behavior, the learned behavior, the experienced behavior, you start to peel all that away and at the end of the day, we’re all humans,” Prince Harry said.
