General Hospital Spoilers: Michael E KnightFans of Michael E. Knight will finally see the actor arrive in Port Charles as he makes his debut on General Hospital on Monday, September 30. However, he won’t be resurrecting his All My Children character Tad Martin.

Although viewers won’t see “Tad the Cad,” something exciting is in store for the actor, whose new alter ego is said to be “capable of all manner of shenanigans.”

“General Hospital’s” head writers Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor have some hints as to what fans can expect about Knight’s new character. He will take on a huge role in the lives of “a number of people in Port Charles who are in trouble.” He’ll also have a hand at how characters’ stories are “solved or further complicated.”

General Hospital Spoilers – Will Cross Paths With Valentin Cassadine

Knight’s new character will cross paths with former AMC co-star James Patrick Stuart’s alter ego Valentine Cassadine. Viewers have to wait and see how their stories intertwine. Plus, they have to wait and see how long he’ll stay in Port Charles.

When asked why they chose Knight for the role, Van Etten said: “I knew he could bring a little zest to the General Hospital canvas. He’s his own special brand of zest! As we were writing his character, we found out that ‘Oh, we have even more use for him!’ It’s helpful to know who the actors are in this situation. We have lots of ideas on how we can expand his character and cross-pollinate his character.”

General Hospital Spoilers – Other Pine Valley Residents May Appear

The pair seem to be quite aware of the fans’ disappointment that Knight won’t be bringing back his old AMC character. However, they hinted that bringing other Pine Valley residents to Port Charles may still be on the horizon.

Van Etten revealed that they’ve had conversations about bringing back characters, but they also have to consider whether it’ll be useful to or not to resurrect the characters. “We’ll continue to have these as the opportunity arises.”

Apart from All My Children, Knight may also be familiar to other viewers as Dr. Simon Neville from The Young and the Restless. He also appeared on Date with an Angel, Hexed, One Life to Live, Hot in Cleveland, and NCIS.

In 2017, he made a special appearance on the Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family show where he had a brief reunion with some of his former cast-mates from All My Children.

General Hospital viewers will have to tune in to find out what will happen next.
