The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) had her demands met by Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and stands as the Chief Executive Officer of the family business as a result. She’s just getting started on what initially felt like a long reign atop one of the world’s leading conglomerates.

However, Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, changes the game. While he’s previously rejected his father’s offer to head the company, might he be persuaded to work in a different capacity?

She’s come and gone countless times from the company, sometimes based on Victor’s histrionics, at others based on a random whim and the need for Y&R to adjust the storyline of Heinle’s character.

However, Vickie is the right choice to head Newman at this point in time because she is qualified and as importantly, wants the job. Victor fully appreciated when she laid her cards on the table, which is a wink toward Adam. So the Moustache proudly agreed to relinquished the throne.

After matters are handled with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), which is why Adam agreed to come back to GC, Grossman’s character can be written toward a redemptive path. Hardcore viewers should be hoping for a believable modification of this arc, as the family battle angle has been hit very hard since Adam regained his memory in the spring.

A preview of what’s possible took place in the living room at the Ranch while Victor and Adam were having a heart-to-heart talk. They reached as close to a truce as was possible and expressed a mutual desire to end their personal fight moments before Adam left for Las Vegas, Nevada.

Adam does want to be a better man for his sons. So, a carefully constructed pursuit of redemption, that doesn’t change who this character is, would likely succeed.

Vickie has her father’s support and will likely retain it. So, it’s not as though Victor should suddenly ask for Adam to become a co-CEO. But assigning him a task that’s connected to Newman Enterprises might be something Vickie would go along with, albeit with strong hesitancy. Adam needs to stay in GC. If he does, Y&R will surely have him pursue some type of business agenda.

Until his involvement in the Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) will issue is exposed, it’s possible that Adam has no link to it. Having time on his hands and assuming that he’s open to modest collaboration, Victor could work with Adam on a corporate project that keeps them both busy. If that’s something that’s related to Newman Enterprises, then a real, or perceived brother-sister conflict would also be created.
