The Young and The Restless Chance Chancellor

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Chance Chancellor (as now played by recast, Donny Boaz) is finally arriving in Genoa City, Wisconsin. Boaz first recorded show will air on November 8.

The long lead in to Chance’s return has kept longtime fans speculating, as John Driscoll formerly held this role. He left the cast in 2011, with scant mention of Phillip Chancellor IV since then.

The mystery about whether Chance was involved with Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) will challenge will be answered. There must be more to the story if Boaz’ character is involved, as the assault of Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) happened after he received a supposed text from Chance.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Backstory Refresher Frames Return

Chance is a nickname based off his last name, which is famous in GC. Phillip Chancellor II (Donnelly Rhodes) was a prominent member of the city who owned Chancellor Industries. He was married to Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) during the earliest part of Y&R’s history in the early-mid 1970’s. Their marriage was broken when Phillip II became involved with Jill Foster (as now played by Jess Walton), who eventually had his child, Phillip Chancellor III (Thom Bierdz).

Phillip Chancellor III had a son with Nina Webster (Tricia Cast). She had another son, Ronan Malloy (Jeff Branson), through a different father.

Chance is said to have been doing undercover work for the government in recent years. However, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was the first person to uncover an apparent connection between Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and the character who is now played by Boaz. Ronan, Chance’s half-brother, also works for the government.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Cane Ashby’s Inheritance Questioned

Earlier this fall, the so-called real will pages were left for Cane in a manila envelope. Goddard’s departing character was knocked unconscious, after being lured to an isolated located in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he’d traveled to in an attempt to locate Chance.

Cane was stunned to read that yes, he was intended to inherit half of Katherine’s fortune. That evidence was shared with Devon and others upon his return to town.

Katherine’s grandson, Devon has come to accept the shock and will be relinquishing the wealth to Cane in the near future. But Jill (now Abbott Atkinson) and Cane now believe that Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) is actually pushing a scheme and that Devon may still be Katherine’s rightful heir.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman And Devon Hamilton Connected To Recast Character

Some dialogue has included tidbits about Chance having fallen from grace in recent years. While he was a straight shooter upon departing eight years ago, mention has been made about hard times. That would imply and justify some type of underhanded Adam connection, which would soon be explained if the information Phyllis learned is correct.

As for Devon, Y&R fans surely want to see him retain Katherine’s bounty. He’s her blood relative and the story about Tucker McCall (Stephen Nichols) skewing the original pages didn’t seem to make sense.

So, viewers are anticipating Chance’s return and the start of an explanation about where he’s been, what he’s been doing since leaving GC, and who he was, or is still associated with.
