The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that some of the residents of Genoa City are going to breathe a little easier in the coming weeks knowing that there will be at least one less villain turning things upside down for them. That’s because Simon Black will no longer be a thorn in Chelsea Newman’s (Melissa Claire Egan) side, as actor Jeffrey Vincent Parise is bowing out. Here’s what you need to know.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Jeffrey Vincent Parise Says So Long

According to CBS Soaps in Depth this week, fans will soon be saying so long to Simon Black as Jeffrey Vincent Parise is wrapping up his latest stint on The Young and the Restless. This, of course, is sad news for both his fans and the actor, as he clearly enjoyed his time on the show. Jeffrey says that he thoroughly enjoyed the writing and the character and that he even had a very special fan base during his short-term arc on the show.

Jeffrey went on to tell the publication that his mother and all of her friends at the retirement community that she lives in tuned in everyday to see him on The Young and the Restless. In fact, his mother even made sure to make special invites as this was a memorable moment that she certainly didn’t want anyone to miss!

And boy did Jeffrey Vincent Parise do a great job playing the villainous character. He taunted and threatened Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) so much that she was worried sick about the safety and the security of her family. Heck, even Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) had to get involved! Luckily for Chelsea and Adam and of course their young son Connor, the streets of Genoa City are now a little bit safer as Simon is where he belongs – and that’s behind bars.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: So Long To Simon Black

So, does this mean that Simon will possibly be back in the future? If Jeffrey Vincent Parise has anything to say about it, the answer is a possible yes. The actor had so much fun that he would most certainly return to the soap, should the producers and writers want him again. Here’s hoping that happens. Our fingers are crossed!
