Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) knew what was best on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Recognizing Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) current mental state and predicament, Scott’s character suggested that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) begin meeting with Vickie.
Hardly close, Sharon’s tell to Vickie about having cancer created a new bond between them. That reveal establishes the basis of what could be a productive pairing that could significantly help the one-time sister-in-law’s.
The stabbing that Vickie is recovering from and the cancer diagnosis that Sharon is having treated represent shared health shocks. Both ladies ‘ lives have been radically altered in ways they weren’t expecting. As Nikki believes, the discussions they can have about their situations can be productive.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Vickie Newman Dealing With Another Loss
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) left Vickie a short time before she was attacked at the Newman Enterprises fiftieth anniversary gala. That incident had her reeling before Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes) stuck a knife into Vickie’s right side, mistakenly believing that she was his estranged girlfriend, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan).
The end of this edition of ‘Villy’ wasn’t expected. Vickie was particularly careful in allowing herself to trust Billy this time due to all that’s happened in the past and because she didn’t want to jeopardize their children’s sense of stability that had been painstakingly rebuilt in recent years.
Dealing with a bad breakup would have been enough. But compounding that with the stabbing has proven too much for Vickie to currently bear.
Y&R Spoilers – Sharon Newman Adapting To New Normal
People offer supportive and encouraging words to loved ones who are diagnosed with cancer and many other diseases. Those affected hear thoughtful words and often take them to heart. Sharon, like anyone, has also been talking herself into believing that all will be well, eventually.
But fighting against an unknown health issue, that’s potentially fatal, goes beyond one’s outlook. Persistence and endurance include embracing all who are up for the battle.
Including Vickie in the widening circle of people who know about this diagnosis is smart. Sharon sees her life and others in deeper ways than she has before. Her approach is positive, which can only help. Tapping her psychology degree skills also offers proactive ways to help Vickie and herself.
