General Hospital spoilers tease that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will run into Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thibaud) and a confrontation will ensue in an upcoming episode of GH!
Anna Devane May Be Suspicious Of Britt Westbourne’s Return To Port Charles
Anna may be suspicious of Britt’s return to Port Charles, and take concern that Britt will align herself with her mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) against Anna’s son, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and try to undermine Peter. But Anna is out of the loop – Britt actually wants to get to know her half-brother and finds it completely believable that her mother would frame him to hide her past crimes, regardless of how she had made strides in trying to improve herself in recent months – or at least appeared to be! Britt is trying to stay on the straight and narrow herself, and has worked hard to get her medical license back.
So Is Liesl Obrecht Guilty Or Not?
— SOS/CTS/HH (@SoapOperaSpy) March 25, 2020
General Hospital viewers will recall that Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) talked with Britt in a recent episode and had at first thought Liesl was guilty of the crimes that Peter had committed and framed Liesl for, but then thought about it and reversed himself, and tried to convince Britt that her mother may not be all that guilty, and implied mistakes were made that led to her arrest. Franco reminded Britt that Liesl has more reason to behave herself than she doesn’t, with a baby grandson that she thinks the world of – he is a good motivator for Liesl to stay free, and not do things that she could be incarcerated for.
This has made Britt think a bit but she still wouldn’t put it past her mother for trying to hide past crimes by killing everyone, or trying to, who could tie her to them; after all, she knows just how evil her mother can be – and recalls Liesl holding Peter in a cabin and torturing and nearly killing him and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) both when she tied them to a post in the horse barn at Wyndemere and set it on fire! And when Anna runs into her unexpectedly and tears into her and accuses her of coming back to join forces with her mother, that’s exactly what Britt will tell her – but Britt has her doubts. Her mother may actually be telling the truth but she can’t get herself in the middle of it while she is trying to get her own life back together.
GH Spoilers: Anna Devane Has Never Trusted Britt Westbourne Any More Than She Has Liesl Obrecht
Anna has never trusted Britt any more than she has Liesl, and jumps to the same types of presumptions about Britt as Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) does about Peter. So Anna classifies Britt as she does Liesl, pure evil and not to be trusted. The only time she did trust Britt with anything was when she had her working for her to capture Liesl when she was on the run; and that was under strict supervision.
Britt may pose a question to Anna, and her question will be justified; Peter has a past; why isn’t she holding Peter’s past against him like others are and giving him the benefit of the doubt that he has changed, aside from her possibly being his mother, and not give the same benefit of the doubt to her? This of course will be kind of a sideways insult to Anna, but it may diffuse the situation from getting any worse or escalating. Britt knows now that negotiation usually gets better results with an enemy than fighting!
