General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) is about to get the shock of his life when he learns that his bratty daughter, Brook Lynn Quatermaine (Amanda Setton) sold her shares in ELQ. But, that’s not all. Now, the evil Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is set to take over the family business!
General Hospital Spoilers – Ned’s About to Play Defense
Some GH viewers might be questioning Ned’s wisdom these days. It seems Ned keeps getting blindsided. Some fans might be surprised that Ned, who otherwise seems like a solid guy, is continually being caught off guard. That’s not a good thing because these are events that could affect the future of the Quartermaine’s family business!
First, Ned’s been plotting his own takeover of ELQ, and so he’s worried about Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) coming back. However, whether or not Ned’s truly prepared himself for a war with Michael is a topic for another time.

Secondly, Ned made the mistake of bringing in his snot nosed (30 something year old) daughter, Brook Lynn, to act as his secretary in the ELQ offices. Her presence became the cause of a blown, multi-million dollar merger between ELQ and Marten MedTech.
Thirdly, the Quartermaine family hasn’t yet felt the fallout over Brook Lynn’s actions and Ned’s subsequent reaction. (Ned fired Brook Lynn.) However, a shockwave is about to hit Ned when he discovers that Valentin Cassadine may be walking through ELQ’s doors in the very near future, ready to sit on the company throne.
General Hospital Spoilers – Ned Fights Back
It’s a sure bet that Ned won’t take Valentin’s attempt to take over ELQ lying down. Ned will likely try to pull out every legal stop he can muster. In fact, Ned may try to circle the wagons and pull Michael back into the loop. This could resolve any upcoming war between Ned and Michael. GH viewers may see Ned and Michael ally in order to stop Valentin’s threat.
On the other hand, it’s possible that GH fans could see Ned try to take advantage of the same sort of options Michael has available to him should he go to war against Ned. Viewers might see Ned try to scramble to make a last ditch deal with Valentin to buy back his controlling shares.
General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Wins for Now
Maybe Valentin will take control, but Ned will be watching for any weakness that he can then exploit to get ELQ back. Perhaps Ned could make it appear that Valentin’s business decisions are hurting the company and then Ned could call for a vote of the board. (Most board members would likely back Ned over Valentin.)
Heck, Ned could ask Brook Lynn to bite the bullet and sleep with Linc Brown (Dan Buran) in the hopes that the music producer would give up the ELQ shares before handing them over to Valentin! (That’s a bit Machiavellian, but all avenues ought to be considered when it comes to the subject of obtaining power and retaining it. No?)
The point is that when it comes to keeping ELQ in the family, GH viewers should expect Ned to get real scrappy real quick.
