The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) appear to be killers. While Adam’s guilt is assumed by his own admission, Victor’s involvement in a decade’s-old death remains clouded.
It’s possible that Adam falsely believes he killed the man who was after Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) in Las Vegas, Nevada. But if Adam’s belief is accurate, then Victor already does, or will have a weapon to use against his son.
Viewers are aware that Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) drove all night from Kansas to Wisconsin. Included in her car was a cardboard box that contains supposed evidence linking Victor to a murder.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – A.J. Montalvo In Conflict With Moustache?
Alyssa has always believed that her father died in a fall from a barn loft. Her investigative digging, combined with the bank record’s information Adam recently unearthed tells a different story.
A.J. Montalvo (a part that’s not yet known to be cast) served jail time for orchestrating illegal loans. Cliff Wilson (David Cowgill) is believed to have borrowed money from Alyssa’s father and was unable to repay a large debt. So, Cliff’s perceived accidental death at the hands of a drunk driver is now thought to have been purposeful.
Along with the above, A.J. is now assumed to have threatened Adam’s mother, which led to Victor’s defense of her and a then young Adam.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Hope Wilson’s Life Was In Danger
Adam believes that A.J. attempted to satisfy the debt Cliff owed by threatening his mother. It’s assumed that Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman) reached out in desperation to Victor, because her husband, Cliff, was dead.
Both Adam and Alyssa are operating off the notion that whatever information and materials they’ve come across mean that Victor was indirectly, or directly involved in killing A.J., who was trying to squeeze money from Hope.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Newman Enterprises Is The Prize
Adam believes that Victor baited him with the recent offer to run Newman Enterprises. That’s not true, but Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) have convinced themselves otherwise.
So, with perceived conclusive evidence in a cardboard box, Adam thinks that he has the ability to blackmail his father. The implied trade-off could be Adam’s silence in return for access to power. But Victor’s guilt is still assumed and even if he actually was involved in A.J.’s demise, Adam’s Vegas activities appear to be a neutralizing factor that will be employed by his father.
