Unexpected Complications
Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that there will be unexpected complications that lead to Kayla having to make a split-second decision. She already knew there would be risks with this surgery, but her decision could have a lasting impact. Even knowing that there could be devastating consequences, even death, Kayla knows deep inside that Steve would want her to continue with the operation.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Brain Damage Possible
In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Evans explained that Steve could end up suffering some form of brain damage from the surgery. This could be as severe as never waking up or as simple as memory lapses. Despite this risk, Kayla continues with the operation. Evans explained,
“Steve would never want to be this person. That’s what she believes. Whatever the outcome, it’s better than letting him stay as Stefano.”
Steve does eventually wake up after surgery. However, he is not exactly 100 percent. He will suffer a memory problem and doesn’t remember his love with Kayla. Does he have full-blown amnesia or is he just missing certain parts? Can he recover or is the brain damage permanent? How does Kayla proceed from here, especially since there is the added complication of Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth)? Fans will have to keep watching the NBC soap opera to find out.
