Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) won Newman Enterprises on ‘The Young and the Restless’, or at least he has temporarily. Whether Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is truly guilty of the crime Adam claims proof of his father committing in Kansas years ago, or he’s innocent, Grossman’s alter has seized control of the top spot at the family business.
Edging out one of his perceived entitled siblings, Adam is standing on a box of evidence feeling invincible. He thinks that the information Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) gathered in record time and his own verification of decade’s-old bank records is all that’s needed to implement the next step in the endlessly vengeful plot against his family.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Family Business Torn Down?

Adam could begin to sell off entire divisions of the company in order to intentionally wreck the iconic company his father founded fifty years ago. Of course, viewers know that Braeden joined the cast in 1980, and that Y&R stretched the most recent anniversary date of the conglomerate by at least a decade as part of honoring the legendary actor’s forty-year anniversary with the cast.
Destroying Newman Enterprises would seemingly give Adam twisted pleasure, as that was his intent in the past. Devoted Y&R fans recall that he bought Dark Horse’s debt, took over the company Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) founded, and spoke of disassembling Newman if he could get hold of it.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Vickie Newman Defends Family Turf
Vickie Newman (Amelia Heinle) isn’t about to let her bratty little brother get away with what he’s done. She understands her father’s reason for allowing this to happen, but plans on fighting back.
The sibling rivalry between Adam and two of his siblings (being Vickie and Nick) has been fierce for many years. He believes that the Genoa City, Wisconsin, based part of Victor’s family has always received more than he did. This condescending belief helps to fuel Adam’s loathing of all things Newman.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman Remains Very Wily
There’s no doubt that Victor has slowed down in recent years. Health issues and now, the rare blood disease, allowed him to be comfortable with Vickie’s demand that she take the throne.
Victor relished the manner in which Vickie stated her case. She gave him a take it, or leave it offer, just as he hoped she would. The contrast between Vickie’s bold push and Adam’s brash blackmail couldn’t be starker.
The ‘Moustache’ remains very wily. All who know Victor realize that he may, or may not be guilty of this crime. Regardless, Adam has made himself a target and that’s sure to be extremely problematic. And surely a counterattack is being planned.
