The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Wednesday, April 8, tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will meet with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) in the boardroom at Jabot. Both Kyle and Theo will furiously launch into apologies for their behavior in front of Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), but Jack will stop them, saying that this routine has grown tired.
Jack will say that he’ll no longer allow Kyle and Theo’s toxicity to bring down the family and the company, and that grown men don’t put their grandmother in the line of fire. Jack will say that actions have consequences, and that they’re about to face theirs. Again, Kyle and Theo will stammer that they can find a way to get along, but Jack will stop them.
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Jack Causes More Rivalry Between Theo & Kyle – Traci Gets A Lucrative Job Offer
Jack will say that everything at Jabot will be changing, and that he’s doing away with Jabot Collective. Kyle will note that this will require a major rebranding, and he’ll wonder how marketing will handle it. Jack will say that they won’t, because Kyle and Theo will each have seven days to individually come up with a rebranding plan.
Jack will say that he’ll examine their individual proposals and decide which of them will lead the charge. Theo will say that he appreciates the opportunity, and after he’s gone, Kyle will attempt to talk with Jack to make sure they’re good, but Jack will curtly tell him to focus on the task before leaving.
Next, Summer Newman (Hunter King) will arrive and learn about the contest from Kyle. Summer will give Kyle a pep talk, saying that he’s got a secret weapon in this fight…her. Kyle will worry that this isn’t a done deal for him, but Summer will tell him that there’s nothing they can’t accomplish together.
Theo will head to Society, where he’ll talk with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) in the kitchen. Theo will be worried about the contest, because if he fails then it will only be a matter of time before he’s an outsider again. Theo will believe that the deck is stacked against him, and Lola will encourage him to dig in and get motivated.
Later, Summer will pick up takeout at Society, and she and Lola will each state that they’re supporting their respective men. And back at Jabot, Kyle and Theo will individually get to work on their ideas. Kyle will tell Theo that he’ll never be part of the family, and Theo will boast that he has a fresh vision. Theo and Kyle will agree to find out what counts soon enough.
Of course, why Jack thinks that a contest between Kyle and Theo will squash the animosity that they have for each other is a bit of a mystery at this point. In fact, if anything, this competition is going to have Kyle and Theo feeling more bitterness toward each other, especially since one of them will come out victorious over the other. And in the end, one of them is going to be quite upset with Jack over his choice!
Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Wednesday, April 8, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will arrive at Chancellor Communications to see Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) with an office-warming basket in tow. Traci will ask how things are going with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), and then Lily will notice that Traci seems emotional.

The ladies will sit down to talk, and Traci will open up about how difficult things are with Dina right now. Traci will tearfully say that there’s just not enough time, and that there’s so much that was left unsaid between Dina and her children. Soon, Billy will arrive and notice that Traci’s upset. He’ll offer a sweet hug, and Traci will explain that she’s feeling sad about Dina.
When Traci steps out to take a call from her publisher, Lily will run an idea past Billy. He’ll love it, and when Traci comes back, both Lily and Billy will be smiling. They’ll tell Traci all about their idea for Chancellor’s fiction division, which will include serialized online fiction and message boards for fans. Lily and Billy will want Traci to run the whole division, and Traci will be flattered.
Lily will also say that they’d like to publish Traci’s next best seller. Traci will say that she’s never done anything like this before, and Lily will explain that they don’t want MBAs to run this project because they want it to have a heart and a soul. Traci will give them a definite “maybe,” and after she goes, Billy will praise Lily for her wonderful idea.
