Vickie Newman (Amelia Heinle) is mad at two men who share some similar traits on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Those characters are her father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), and her half-brother, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
The partial sibling clarification was a quick retort Vickie offered to Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) during initial introductions. Adam’s childhood friend didn’t unearth the entire story, as she thought, but Vickie enlightened her and then requested that she hold steady.

Vickie isn’t pleased with her dad, or Adam. But she knows that Victor didn’t intend to wrong her like her brother has.
Adam used his personal connection with Alyssa as form of manipulation. He dropped just enough crumbs to the crime reporter, who had a personal interest in the age-old barn fall.
Victor was pleased that Vickie pushed him a number of months ago. She made her take it, or leave it pitch for the Chief Executive Officer’s slot. The ‘Moustache’ accepted and all was well, for awhile.
But Victor allowing Adam to simply push her out of power, without resistance and only the promise of a plan, has naturally set Vickie off.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – It’s Personal For Alyssa Montalvo
Losing her father at a young age left emotional scars. But Alyssa and her family endured his earlier incarceration on loan sharking charges, so they knew that A.J. Montalvo (a part not known to be cast) lived a risky life.
Now, as a result of the quest Adam orchestrated, Alyssa learned that Victor was responsible for A.J.’s death. She was convinced that Victor acted with malice and then covered up the crime.
Adam is willing to believe the same because he can use the box of evidence Alyssa provided, as part of the story he bought the rights to, with a Newman-esque non-disclosure clause attached. Adam is now able to blackmail Victor into ceding control of the family business, with Vickie being pushed out just after she returned to the job.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman Hiding Bigger Secret
This storyline feels half-told. Yes, Victor has knowledge of what happened to A.J. But another factor, that is yet to be revealed, is involved.
Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman) assumed Cliff Wilson’s (David Cowgill) underground debt after he was accidentally killed by A.J.’s enforcer. Alyssa’s father was lawless, so it’s logical to assume that his demise was linked to aggression.
Connecting the plot dots, Victor almost certainly acted as he did to protect Hope and Adam, who was a child at the time. The coming reveal will surely reverse current fortunes, which might not be in time, or enough for Victoria. But unlike her half-brother, she knows how to forgive.
