With the stay at home order set in place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, viewers have a list of TV shows to keep them entertained. This week on “Counting On”, Michelle Duggar set aside family feuds as she attended the fifth birthday celebration of her grandson Israel.

On Monday, April 6, Michelle made her way to her daughter Jill Dillard’s home to see his grandson Israel as he celebrated his fifth birthday. Viewers know that the Duggars and the Dillards haven’t been in good terms for a few months now. But Michelle chose to ignore that, at least for the meantime. She and some of her younger kids helped Israel celebrate while still practicing social distancing.

“Although the current state [of the world] with coronavirus has changed our plans, we are counting our blessings and trying to make [lemonade] from lemons,” Jill and Derick each posted on Instagram

“We decorated the house after the boys went to bed last night, and they were so excited this morning,” they said.

“We did a special birthday breakfast and are planning a drive this afternoon to say hey to friends from our car before we make our way to [Derick’s] mom and stepdad’s for a simple celebration in their front yard (keeping our distance)! Who knows, it may turn into a bear hunt around their neighborhood looking for stuffed bears in neighbors’ windows,” they added.

Michelle Seen Peeking Through A Window

Jill and Derick shared photos of the event. One snap showed Michelle peeking through a window with Israel’s aunts Josie and Jordyn. They remained outside the house to follow the social distancing rules that have been set in place.

Fans were quick to comment on the posts.

One said, “Happy to see Jill’s family celebrating him!”

I love that your mom [and] sisters still came to see him for his special day,” another follower commented.

A third fan chimed in and said, “So glad to see Michelle outside.”

The Duggars and The Dillard’s Family Feud

Back in March, Michelle and Jim Bob shared a post for Derick. Even though it was a thoughtful gesture, some thought it wasn’t genuine at all. It didn’t take Derick too long to respond. The birthday boy also took to social media where he appeared to be throwing shade at his in-laws as a reply to a fan’s comment.

It didn’t end there. Derick continued to speak against his in-laws in an interview with “Without a Crystal Ball.”

“We weren’t even allowed to be the first ones to announce our own life events — our marriage, expecting our baby, our genders of our children, our births — not by our own choice,” he said

“If I had to do it all over again, I would’ve announced myself when we were expecting and things like that, even if I would’ve gotten in trouble. … Your family relationships are affected to this extent that you are on board with the family business,” he explained.
