Days Of Our Lives NBC Days of Our Lives just snubbed The Bold and the Beautiful. Co-executive producer Greg Meng discussed how certain storylines and scenes would have to be changed due to the new safety guidelines. He made it clear that they do not plan on ordering any blow-up dolls. Ouch! Find out what else Meng had to say.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – B&B’s Blow-Up Doll Statement Went Viral

Once it was announced that The Bold and the Beautiful would be resuming production, those in charge held several interviews with big-name publications. Forbes, The Hollywood Reporter, and many more all reported on it and some used direct quotes during their interviews.

While some believe it was an inside joke, no corrections have been published and nobody has outright denied the possibility. No “laugh” was inserted inside the quotations, which is a basic journalistic standard. Even SoapCentral asked Bradley Bell about the dolls during a post-Emmy award interview. With that being said, the soap will obviously do everything they can to use real human beings.

But, for the record, they actually do have a blow-up doll, which was originally used as a corpse. Never say never!

DOOL Spoilers – Star Lamon Archey Pokes Fun

Lamon Archey, who plays Eli Grant on Days of Our Lives couldn’t help himself on social media. Once he learned about B&B’s blow-up dolls, he posted a picture of a Barbie doll that resembled his on-screen fiancee, Lani Price (Sal Stowers). He wrote, “Lani, is that you?!” It got a lot of laughs, but poking fun at the CBS soap isn’t quite over yet.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers –  Greg Meng Will Never Use Dolls

According to TV Insider, Meng said that using dolls will never happen on DOOL. The co-executive producer said, “We do not plan on ordering any blow-up dolls!”

Meng also stated that there is no rush to get back to work as they have enough new episodes to last until October. He doesn’t want to rush back in and then have production shut down again. He said that would be the worst thing that could happen.

So, let’s hope that the safety protocols everyone has developed for productions actually work and we don’t experience another shutdown. What do you think of DOOL snubbing B&B? How do you believe the soap operas will fare with the new safety protocols?
