EastEnders Spoilers – Sharon Watts’ New Chapter
The last time new episodes aired, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) was trying to finalize and close the deal on purchasing Queen Vic. When Sharon chose her baby over him, Phil rushed to the pub to seal the deal with Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright). However, it was bought out from under him by Ian for Sharon, although his motives were not completely selfless.
When the soap returns, we will see Sharon’s new chapter.
Coronavirus Pandemic Storylines
Many soaps are going to use COVID-19 and interweave them into storylines. Eastenders spoilers reveal that Ian and Sharon being the new owners of Queen Vic could be one of them. The purchase took place around the time that the pandemic shut everything down. So, it’s likely that we will see how the global health crisis will affect the various characters.
Eastenders Spoilers – Financial Impact
Lockdown affects so many different areas of life and one that people might not consider is the financial devastation to a business. During quarantine, the pub obviously wasn’t earning a profit. Once the lockdown restrictions ease up, the pub could be allowed to open. However, there will be safety regulations and one of them is social distancing. Who is going to spend money at Queen Vic if they can’t sit down and enjoy it? This might be a challenge that Ian and Sharon will have to face as they struggle to avoid complete economic devastation.
Queen Vic’s Beer Garden
According to the Mirror, aerial photos show a beer garden could be the Queen Vic’s saving grace. Although Ian is part of this business venture, we expect him to be out of the picture at some point. We can’t imagine him remaining a business partner once Sharon finds out the truth about his role in Dennis Mitchell’s (Bleu Landau) death. Plus, we see Sharon as more of the type of person who could come up with creative business solutions.

While Ian is financially invested, Sharon’s heart and soul is attached to the pub. It was her childhood home, so for her, there is so much more at risk. Plus, there is no way she is going to want to lose the pub after watching Phil’s reaction to her victory. She has lost way too many battles with Phil and this one victory is huge. Nothing and nobody is going to take anything from her again, not even a virus.
