The Young and the Restless spoilers divulge that Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) got something special delivered to his house recently and he’s sharing just what was inside that very special package with his fans. Could it be that beautiful golden statue that Jason earned at the 47th Annual Daytime Emmys last June for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series?

Jason went on his Insta and posted a video of him opening the box with his kids, who were just as excited as he was. He captioned the vid: “It happened!! It’s real. I’m reminded once again how many people and the many things had to happen to get to that moment.”
Jason had earned five consecutive nominations starting for his role as Dr. Patrick Drake on General Hospital, so this win must have been especially sweet for the talented star.
“I feel incredibly lucky and fortunate to be an actor,” he wrote. “The thing I most appreciate is the want to understand the human condition. The love, the loss, the joy and pain we all go through. The struggle to make ends meet and to keep hope. To try and search for honesty as much as possible.”

Jason’s kids Bowie Banjo and Rome Coco loved helping their dad open the box, and little Rome Coco was adorable as she struggled to hold the enormous and heavy statue all on her own.
