Meghan Markle Is Taking Cues From A ‘Disinformation Researcher’
British Royal family news reveals Meghan Markle, The Duchess of Sussex said social media users are addicts and now she wants to host a digital conference why? And what knucklehead would even ask her to join in the fun?
A special edition of TIME100 Talks on the State of Our Shared Digital Experience has both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as hosts for Tuesday’s event. It is presented in partnership with P&G and the brave new theme is, “Engineering a Better World.” No one could make this stuff up.
And why do Time executive editor and editorial director of the TIME100, Dan Macsai, want the pair to represent his brand? Because he believes, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, both TIME100 alumni, are among the most influential voices in the world.”
On top of that, the Experience will highlight Harry and Meghan’s commitment to building sanitized online communities that they approve of and explore how to best bring about their other end goals.
Meghan Markle Called Social Media Users Addicts And Now She Wants To Bash Them More?
The episode will air conversations with a variety of guests including Center for Humane Technology president and co-founder Tristan Harris, Reddit co-founder and founder of 776 Alexis Ohanian, Rappler CEO and executive editor Maria Ressa, and Safiya U. Noble co-director of the UCLA Center for Critical Internet Inquiry.
But wait, there’s more! None other than disinformation researcher Renée DiResta, and Somewhere Good founder Naj Austin, plus the hosts of Teenager Therapy will appear.
Make no mistake about it, Harry and Meghan are in control of the whole Experience. They developed the theme, guests, and topics, and will make opening and closing remarks and lead conversations (Time editor and CEO Edward Felsenthal will be present to discuss these topics).
Harry And Meghan Think They Know How To Create The Online Community We Deserve
Felsenthal said, “Since launching in April, TIME100 Talks has focused on solutions and visions of a better future through conversations with extraordinary leaders from around the world. This special episode marks our first collaboration, and we are thrilled to partner with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to explore these urgent issues.” Who? Oh yeah, the Markle’s.
