Royal Family News: 4 PR Lessons We All Can Learn From Meghan Markle
British Royal Family news reveals love her or loathe her, there’s no denying that you can’t ignore her, especially now that Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry are bigger than ever before. While 2020 didn’t work out to Harry and Meghan’s benefit – with a few small bumps in the way – they’ve gone on to teach us all a master class in PR.
That’s because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are definitely beginning 2021 with a huge bang. With that said, we’ve got three public relation lessons that we all can learn from the mastermind herself, Meghan Markle. Check it out below and let us know what you think.
#1 You Don’t Need Social Media To Thrive
Meghan Markle is clearly changing the game as she hasn’t had a social media account in well over eight months, proving that you don’t need one to thrive in 2021. In fact, Meghan is definitely more influential now with her Netflix and Spotify deals than she ever was on Instagram.
#2 Keep Your Cool, Even When Things Aren’t Going Your Way
Both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have proven to us that there are going to be as many ups as there are downs, and really, there’s no reason to panic over it. Harry and Meghan have proved to us that it’s best to keep your cool, even when things aren’t going their way or when they get negative press for doing things like bringing a photographer to the Los Angeles National Cemetery for a photo op.
#3 Overexposure Is Never A Good Thing
We live in an age where everyone is on social media posting everything from their latest family photos, their children’s achievements, their travel highlights, and even the things they eat wear and do. But Meghan has shown us this year that overexposure is not a good thing at all. The only way for you to stay in demand is if you keep everyone in the dark about what you are doing until you are ready to announce it to the world.

#4 Bad Publicity Is Actually What It Is: Bad Publicity
Many people in Hollywood and the celebrity world believe that bad publicity is still publicity, but that’s not necessarily true. These days there is so much traffic on the internet that you don’t want to make headlines for all of the wrong reasons. Meghan has taught us that control is key, especially when it comes to your image and what the media is writing about you. And so far she’s managed to keep a muzzle on the tabloids by giving them the least amount of material to write on.
