Royal Family News: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Give Veterans Lunch For MLK Day
British royal family news reveals that Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle, who like to be known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, donated lunch to a group of LA veteran volunteers to mark Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The Mission Continues shared an Instagram post yesterday showing the letter the couple sent them about their donation. The group helps veterans adjust to life back home via volunteering in the community.
The lunch comes after the couple disturbed the peace at LA Veterans Cemetery in November. The couple, dressed to the nines, trampled among the graves looking for a place to put a wreath on Remembrance Sunday, their celeb photographer hired especially for the occasion capturing their every move in a PR stunt decried as tacky and insensitive.

The group posted: “We’d like to send a huge thank you to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with Archewell Foundation, for fueling the volunteers of our LA Service Platoon with lunch yesterday, so they can continue their hard work at the Compton VFW and help those living in the Compton community! We’re truly honored to have their support!”
The note from Harry and Meghan, aka the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, was also displayed. It was dated January 16 and read: “In honor of this day of service, and in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and all that he stood for, we want to send our thanks and gratitude to the team at The Mission Continues.”

In June the Sussex’s showed up to learn more about them and plastered pics of their visit all over their socials.
