1000-Lb. Sisters star Tammy Slaton divulged news of a new boyfriend who claims he’ll drop her like a bad habit if she drops below 300 lbs. Slaton met her new beau online and he quickly admitted that he has “a thing for big girls” and said that he would dump her if she ever dropped below 300 lbs.
We see the 35-year-old reality TV star, who weighs 631 lbs. divulge the details of her new relationship in a People Magazine exclusive clip of the much-watched series 1000-Lb. Sisters which chronicles the lives of Tammy and her sister Amy as they travel the path to weight loss.
1000-Lb. Sisters – After Meeting Online, The Two Meet In Person
In the exclusive clip from People, we see Tammy discuss how she met her new love interest, Phillip Redmond from Las Vegas, Nevada, on social media. After the pair got to know one another through talking online, Phillip decided that he wanted to meet the 1000-Lb. Sisters star in person and took a trip to Kentucky to visit.
Even though the two seemed to have a wonderful weekend together, Tammy’s brother Chris was less than enthusiastic about the new man in Tammy’s life. It was Chris who discovered some revealing social media posts made by Tammy’s new man.
1000-Lb. Sisters – According To Social Media, New Beau Prefers ‘Bigger Girls’
In the social media posts, the Las Vegas native explained that he had a thing for “bigger girls” and that if a woman ever dropped below 300 lbs., he would leave her.
For her part, the 1000-Lb. Sisters star gushed about her new romance, saying, “He actually came to meet me recently.” She went on to say that it meeting her new beau for the first time “was great” and that they talked, held hands and watched TV. She said she likes how he makes her feel. She emphasized the happiness part, saying that the two were “vibing.”

1000-Lb. Sisters – Tammy Slaton Is ‘Fine With That,’ And ‘Can’t Wait To See Him Again’
Though Redmund shared in an older social media video that “Anything under 300lbs is disrespectful,’ and, ‘If I married you at 450 and you get down to 299 just know [I] am out, see ya” Tammy doesn’t see a problem with it. She says he just has an internet persona but that’s not who he is.
She says he’s all for her losing weight and then agrees that he doesn’t want her to drop below 300 lbs., adding “I’m fine with that. I can’t wait to see him again.”
