Real Housewives Of Orange County (RHOC) star Shannon Beador was born and raised in Southern California. So, if she is shocked by an alleged crime in Newport Beach, then it should probably be taken seriously. But did it actually happen?
Real Housewives Of Orange County – Shannon Beador Shares Crime
The world is a scary place and long gone are the carefree days of any place being completely crime free. Not confined to the USA, on social media, people report incidents almost every single day. Is it getting worse? Or is it just that citizens are better able to share their own experiences? Anyway, Shannon Beador seemed shocked when she reposted how a crime allegedly nearly went down in Newport Beach.
Real Housewives Of Orange County fans don’t seem to like Shannon very much. Actually, apart from being a bit of a Debbie-Downer, the reasons seem a bit vague. However, she does love dogs, and that gives her some kudos. When Shannon shared her post, people like Ashley Wahler declared that she would repost it immediately, so she took it seriously, anyway.
Real Housewives Of Orange County – What Crime Happened?
When Shannon took to her Instagram on Sunday and shared the post, she told her fans that it was a repost. In her caption, she said, “This is absolutely frightening. Unbelievable that this is happening everywhere.” The story goes that someone’s daughter who “works at Lido Village” got a hold of her mom in a hurry after something bad nearly happened.
Whether the woman witnessed it or, or just recounted what went down isn’t clear. Allegedly, Some guys made attempted to “hijack a young woman in ehr car at lunch time.” The scary story described that the exit was “blocked” while they tried to smash open the window. Apparently, the fact that the “trunk” of their car “was open” seems to be why a kidnapping was suspected.

The repost shared by the Real Housewives Of Orange County star claimed that the woman was inside the car, but managed to “make enough noise” and call for help on the phone to scare the would-be kidnappers off. Allegedly, the police could not do anything as “no one was abducted.” Perhaps the police gave the young woman some advice, because the original poster also said, “Be aware and back into parking spaces for a quick getaway if needed.”
Real Housewives Of Orange County – Bravo Followers Comment
Real Housewives Of Orange County followers either felt scared or skeptical. Meanwhile, others thought that the post was about Shannon Beador’s daughter. Clearly, it was not.
One skeptic questioned it, saying, “at least part of this story is bullshit. There is no record of a 911 call.”
Was it a true story? Well, one person remarked, “Why would you leave this up when Newport PD posted that it was investigated and found to be false?”

Actually, on Instagram, the police department said they investigated it, but the details were vastly inflated. In fact, they noted, “[The woman] remained locked in her vehicle and was never spoken to, approached, or assaulted. Additionally, no one tried to smash the window of her car or abduct her.”
