General Hospital Spoilers reveal Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) just might go out of his way to make sure Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) doesn’t take the fall for his mistakes. It’s only fair, considering that he swindled her into cooperating and helping him when they were keeping Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) as a hostage in the north tower at Wyndemere. Still, Nikolas didn’t have to twist Elizabeth’s arm very hard in the beginning to get her on board. However, he knew which buttons to push to make her cave, and he used the same emotional blackmail against her again later when she was spiraling and ready to confess. Will he hope to redeem himself in her eyes as he excludes her from the whole story?

Of course, Nikolas does get a little something out of this. He just loves to be the savior; seriously, his hero complex knows no bounds. Furthermore, his entire family is turning on him and he can’t handle it. If that wasn’t bad enough, even Nik’s own mother, Laura Collins (Genie Francis), is considering Team Spencer over Team Nik. Will he be able to keep Elizabeth on his side by saving her from persecution?

GH Spoilers – Hint Esme Price Learns Elizabeth Baldwin Is Practically Family

Esme’s memories could start to return — assuming they were ever truly forgotten — and if they do, she might be initially inclined to implicate Elizabeth until Heather Webber (Alley Mills) drops another bombshell on her. Heather is her mom, and in her own sick and twisted way, she thinks that somehow links Esme and Elizabeth as extended family via Heather’s long-ago marriage to Jeff Webber (William R. Moses) before Elizabeth was ever even born. Yes, she’s that deluded. Esme might also think she has a shot at redemption with Cameron ‘Cam’ Webber (William Lipton) if she keeps Elizabeth out of her report about what happened at Wyndemere. She has nothing to gain from hurting Elizabeth anyway, and word on the street is this new version of Esme who doesn’t want to harm anyone might stick around even when her memories return.

General Hospital Spoilers — Ultimately, Nik Cassadine Gets Off Scot-Free Too

Of course, Nik goes into this assuming he will take the fall for everything. In the end, he’s not going to end up paying a very steep price for his crimes — at least not in comparison to how Esme’s crimes stack up. That being said, he’ll still pay a significant cost when it comes to losing his family, his marriage, and possibly even his home on Spoon Island!
