The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) felt confident at work until recently hearing her oldest brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), tell her about his conversation with their father. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) reasserted that he wants Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) back in the fold.
All has been going swell at Newman Enterprises, partially due to Adam voluntarily leaving and bettering himself by becoming Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) co-Chief Executive Officer at Jabot. Victoria is not yet aware that the Moustache is engaging in a plot with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to force Adam out of Jabot by setting him up. However, she does see that her role as Johnny’s mother has dramatically changed and will not revert.

Victor, the founder of Newman Enterprises, stepped back from running the company in the recent past. He accepted Victoria’s ultimatum, allowing her to become and remain the reigning CEO.
Braeden’s character loved that his first-born child challenged him to make a decision and was prepared to leave the company. She went on to make her mark, with Victor not interfering, as he often had when she held lesser roles in the company.
Nick’s renewed interest in the family business includes his father not being hands-on. As for Adam, he still believes that his business acumen is better than his pop’s, a derisive term Michael Muhney’s (Adam) edition of the character popularized long ago.

Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) readily admits that she came on too strong in wanting Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) to know he was her biological son. He and his realized half-brother, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), initially reacted as Victoria, Adam, and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) feared.
But Johnny and Connor soon came to terms with the new reality. Chelsea’s illness also made everyone realize that the news she shared was not intended to upset soapy apple carts.
Through the above and the end of Billy and Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) relationship, Chelsea sees an opportunity with Johnny’s father. A renewed podcast is in the offing, with Chelsea and Billy’s bonds deepening.

Years ago, Victor paid Chelsea to set Billy up in Burma, with him becoming the father of her child, Johnny. The intent was to split Thompson’s character from Victoria many years ago. But that ancient daytime history is not on Chelsea or Billy’s minds as they continue on a potential path to coupling on Y&R.
