General Hospital Spoilers reveal Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is sticking around Port Charles, and he might be getting cozy with someone that GH fans least expect — Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms)! We know, we know. But that’s his sister! Guess again. Maxie and Cody are not related because Mac is only her stepfather, but that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t feel differently about the situation if she knew what he knows — that Mac Scorpio (John J. York) is his father! Is Cody really going to go down this road with Maxie knowing she might find out the truth when they’re head over heels in love with each other?
General Hospital Spoilers — Cody Bell And Maxie Jones Meet Again
Cody and Maxie were pretty chummy with each other when he first came to town and started circling around their family. When Maxie thought Cody was possibly Mac’s son, she was thrilled and couldn’t wait to welcome him into the fold with open arms. In fact, she really pushed him to get a paternity test and told him repeatedly how silly it would be to pass up a chance at having Mac as a father — a sentiment everyone Cody had met seemed to agree with.
Cody would have relished the chance to have a family like the Jones-Scorpio clan, but at this point, he figures it’s not in the cards. Is that true though? What if a love affair with Maxie leads to more, and Mac ends up being a father figure to him anyway as he fills the role of Maxie’s other half? Is Mac as a father-in-law the next best thing?
GH Spoilers – Tease Cody Bell Struggles With His Secret
Cody had no idea at the time that Mac was his biological father. In fact, he was hopeful that Leopold Taub (Chip Lucia) was, as that would’ve meant Cody stood to inherit quite a fortune. While he managed to pull out the biggest con in GH history by lying about the paternity test results he was holding right in front of Mac and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), Cody has since regretted that move and longed for a relationship with his father.

General Hospital Spoilers — What If the Truth Comes Out?
Picture Cody and Maxie falling wildly in love. This could potentially even lead to marriage. What then? If the truth ever comes out that Cody is really Mac’s son, the entire family he worked so hard to get in with would feel betrayed. Then again, Cody is warming up to the idea of coming clean with Mac right now.
So it makes sense that he could start to have an interest in Maxie, which would make him want to push pause on baring all to Mac since he would worry Maxie would see him as more of a brother figure than anything else.
