The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) has been in a bad mood for months. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) took the latest brunt of Chance’s mad demeanor, which was justified.
Viewers know, and Chance strongly suspects Jack stole Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) necklace in Chicago, Illinois, to frame Jeremy Stark (James Hyde). Bergman’s character previously paid Jeremy a half-million dollars which Chance returned to him via the Chicago police department.
Without Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) return to the living, Jack likely would never have known Jeremy, become a jewel thief, or be facing serious prison time if Chance will not let this issue go.

Jeremy offered Diane the good life. That helped to distract her from the self-imposed loss of contact with her son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Diane’s recent tell to Kyle, about being mentally unstable, which caused her to pretend to be killed by Nikki all those soapy years ago, is provable.
No one rationally puts their only child, a young son, through the ordeal of believing his mother was murdered. So, Diane has seemingly stabilized her mind and wants to live well.
Y&R Spoilers – Jack Abbott Rediscovered Love And Peace
Jack has been searching for peace of mind for years. Part of the reason he did not achieve that goal was that he did not have an enduring romantic connection.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is the great love of Jack’s life, as he admitted to her last year. But her chaotic nature turned him off and dovetailed with Diane’s revival.
Diane has made Jack happy at the moment. With the currency of his feelings being realistic, as he and Diane know, their history did not lend itself to a lasting relationship, and marriage did not happen. But Kyle was born, and that binding tie is a significant reason they have come to demonstrate their love for each other again.

Chance goes by the book. His late partner, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), was a positive influence in recent times. Chance’s sadly unseen boss, Chief of Police Paul Williams (Doug Davidson), also is strait-laced.
Jack and Diane may feel secure in their committed crime. But Chance may not let this bone go on Y&R.
