Nate had believed that he was going to have a professional relationship with Victoria. Nate had been working at his family’s company Chancellor-Winters. Nate had decided that he would help Victoria to try to take over Chancellor-Winters. Nate found that he could not go through with his plan because his girlfriend Dr. Elana Dawson (Brytini Sarpy) did not want him to betray his family. Nate decided to come clean about his plot to his cousins Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Nate did not tell Devon and Lily that he was working with Victoria.
Nate was not able to continue to work at Chancellor-Winters. Nate was surprised that Victoria wanted to give him a job at Newman Enterprises. Victoria wanted Nate to be the CEO of Newman Media. Nate has been happy with his work at Newman Media. Nate had believed that he was going to learn about the business world from Victoria. Nate has been shocked that Victoria decided that she would kiss him.
Nate had not considered getting into a romantic relationship with Victoria because he is in a committed relationship with Elena. Nate does not want to lose Elena or his job at Newman Media. Nate is going to need to figure out how to deal with Victoria’s interest in him.

Nate is aware that Victor takes action to protect his family and company. Nate may find that Victor does not completely trust him. Victor has been trying to find a way to get his son Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to come back to work at Newman Enterprises. Victor has been upset that Adam has gone to work for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) at his family company Jabot. Victor has been conspiring with Jack’s son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) find a way to get Adam fired from his position at Jabot. Victor may want Adam to take over as the CEO of Newman Media.
Victor had worked with Adam at Newman Media in the past. Victor may try to find a way to discrete Nate in order to be able to put Adam back in control of Newman Media. Nate may have to find a way to prove that Victor can trust him in order to keep his job at Newman Media.
