Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) has a profound effect on Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), with that emotional power potentially helping him to right his life.
Tucker told Ashley the truth. He does not know how to be a good father and did not know how to be an honest spouse to her.
But Ashley saw enough in Tucker’s persistent professions of love and pleas for second chances to execute a plan to help him. She purchased his outstanding debt intending to help him reconnect with Devon.

Ashley wants Tucker to prove to her that he has changed. But the words he offered and actions he took turned Ashley and Devon off.
Securing Tucker’s debt was a master stroke. For the moment, or possibly longer, Ashley outmaneuvered Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). But the Moustache intends to take control of McCall Unlimited now that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) offered the theory that Ashley is the mystery debt holder.
Tucker has a limited window of time to realize his goal. He must convince Devon to buy his company, per Ashley’s demand. If that happens, she will consider giving Tucker a second chance with her, or that is what he wants to believe.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Devon Hamilton’s Second Father
Devon has a photo of Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) prominently displayed in the penthouse living room. That image is one of many fond touches set designers put in place to send warm reminder messages to viewers.
Backstories are the lifeblood of soap operas, with fans’ emotional investment linked to the people they care about and others they detest. Ashley ran the gamut with Tucker, loving and marrying him, being betrayed when he cavorted with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and being teased in this potential comeback tale.
Devon’s backstory is that Neil is the only man he considers a father, even though Tucker is his biological father. But Ashley’s point to Tucker, about Devon starting another company with his father, as he did with Neil in daytime days gone by, reflects a potentially great storyline.

Y&R Spoilers – Can Tucker McCall Make It Happen?
Ashley is not suggesting that Tucker convince Devon to buy McCall Unlimited. As the debt holder, she is demanding it. Victor’s knowledge of Ashley’s involvement means a substantial offer and possibly one that involves some devious ploy is likely coming, as the Moustache often gets what he wants.
Tucker must convince Devon to realize the dream he suggested in the recent past. St. John’s character wanted to reestablish personal ties with Devon and Ashley and be part of their business lives. Ashley’s plan can make all of that happen on Y&R.
