The Young and the Restless spoilers, news, and updates tease that former cast, Sasha Calle, who played Lola Rosales in the series, just got a part in the upcoming movie On Swift Horses.

Sasha Calle started in the Young and the Restless in 2018 and portrayed Lola Rosales, who owned a food truck that serves Cuban street food named La Vida Lola. But she left the show in 2021 because she was cast for the role of Supergirl in The Flash movie. In the Y&R storyline, Lola is in Miami for an internship. So, we probably could expect her return.

The Flash movie will be released on June 16 this year. She left The Young and The Restless to focus on filming the movie. The trailer was revealed on Super Bowl night. She’s playing Supergirl, and she is excited about the movie.

But apart from her upcoming film, Sasha has also recently been cast in the movie adaptation of the book On Swift Horses. The book was written by Shannon Pufahl and was originally published in 2019. There were a lot of great reviews for the book, and it is expected that the fans would also be thrilled with the movie adaptation.

On Swift Horses is set in the 1950s, after the Korean War, and revolves around the love triangle between the couple Muriel and Lee, and the latter’s younger brother. Sasha is cast alongside Jacob Elordi (known from Euphoria), Will Poulter (known from The Maze Runner), Daisy Edgar-Jones (known from Normal People), and Diego Calva (known from Babylon).

But there is still no information on who would portray who, but hopefully, it gets announced soon. It is also a totally different setting for Sasha compared to The Young and The Restless and The Flash. Fans are probably excited to see her in a new light, especially in this type of film.
