General Hospital spoilers hint Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is struggling with sobriety. He’s taken the best first steps he can by attending support group meetings to help himself stay on track and not default to his old ways of coping, but he’s also icing people out and not wanting to talk about what he’s going through.
This resistance to verbalize his feelings and deal with what has happened to his second marriage could leave Curtis in dire straits and reaching for a bottle instead of his sobriety chip. Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) knows a thing or two about what addiction looks like, and what an addict looks like when they’re on the verge of falling off the wagon. She’s going to do whatever she can to help Curtis stay in line, but will it be enough?
General Hospital Spoilers — Curtis Ashford Is Crumbling
Curtis never imagined he would be right back at square one. Portia was supposed to be his forever love. This time around, it was supposed to stick. Now, he’s faced with the task of having to decide what to do about a marriage that was only happily ever after for a few hours.
He doesn’t want to make that decision; so he’s digging his heels into something — anything — else instead. When Alexis bumped into him outside of her AA meeting at the hospital, she knew something was wrong, but Curtis wasn’t about to open up yet again and reveal all that Portia had done. Truthfully, he’s tired of talking about it. That’s just what Alexis was worried about though.
GH Spoilers – Tease History Tells A Tale
Without getting his frustrations and feelings off his chest, Curtis is much more likely to stew over them and beat himself over the head with them. He’s not going to bounce back from Portia’s assault on his heart, and he doesn’t know how to move forward with it either. Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) doesn’t want to get a DNA test; so he can’t confirm whether or not he even is her biological father. That wouldn’t change the outcome of his marriage, though. Even if he isn’t Trina’s dad, he isn’t sure he can remain Portia’s husband, and that is crippling him.

Alexis knows the signs of relapse all too well and can see that Curtis seems to be careening toward it. She has often championed herself as being better at keeping others on the straight and narrow than keeping herself there.
