General Hospital Spoilers: Michael Doesn’t Want To Hear This Revenge Scheme Might Not Work

General Hospital spoilers reveal Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) isn’t going to be happy when Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) lets him know his plans to take his father down aren’t working out as smoothly as they had intended. When Michael had originally set out to make sure his dad, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), was brought to ruins, he didn’t think it would take much more than putting someone on the inside and letting them earn Sonny’s trust enough to dismantle him. However, he may have misinterpreted just how adept Dex is at manipulation. Likewise, he also may have underestimated how good Sonny’s instincts are at smelling a rat.

Dex has set off alarm bells in Sonny’s mind one too many times already. One more faux pas on his part and the guy is likely toast. Every time Dex has tripped any of Sonny’s alarms, he’s given him another chance. He is invested in Dex — likely seeing a part of his young self in him — and he wants to see him grow into the young mob associate he’s been grooming him to become.

GH Spoilers – Hint Sonny Corinthos Is Sharp

It was never likely that Dex was going to be able to pull off pulling the wool over Sonny’s eyes. Truth be told, Michael should have known that and not led anyone so unaccustomed to Sonny’s ways into his life to entrap him. Sonny is skilled at sniffing out rats and he knows what it feels like when someone is lying to him — especially someone he’s gotten to know pretty well. Sonny looks for quirks, tells, and personality traits that help him home into what a person looks like when they’re nervous, and Dex’s tells are over the map — screaming.

When Dex tells Michael he’s not only concerned that Sonny is icing him out but that Sonny may be onto him enough to intentionally botch the Pikeman Group shipment, Michael isn’t going to be happy. He’s already feeling unnerved and wishy-washy about going through with this. Honestly, if he wasn’t knee-deep in it already, he would walk away altogether. However, being so close to being done with it just makes Michael want to wrap things up already and get on with his life with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). This is becoming quite an inconvenience.
