The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) likes Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) plan. She wanted to take the lead in stealing some of Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) valuable possessions.
In a pointed reversal, intended to send a direct message, Phyllis aims to steal something personally valuable. Diane’s engagement ring, which viewers witnessed her noticeably remove and place on a table in the Abbott living room, seems the most likely object to be swiped.
Clarity on Jeremy’s plan was not offered to the audience, with that part of the storyline intentionally shrouded to add intrigue.

Jeremy used Diane as a money laundering mule when they were in California. She presented herself to him as Taylor Jensen during that period in the plot when the character Walter plays was off-screen, and viewers had not yet learned Jeremy existed.
She eventually discovered his nefarious actions and use of her as a fool. Diane turned against Jeremy by providing evidence to the government in return for immunity, which drives his current revenge play.
Phyllis is smart. So, she has to know that Jeremy has swapped her in for Diane. It also could be that Stafford’s character hopes to bring Jeremy down along with Diane.
Y&R Spoilers – Diane Jenkins In A Seemingly Strong Position
Who would have guessed that after Diane shocked Genoa City, Wisconsin, by revealing she was not murdered in self-defense by Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) would fall back in love with her? Well, Phyllis.
As fans recall, Phyllis sounded the greatest, repeated alarms about Diane when she forced her way back into everyone’s soapy lives. What proved most devastating is that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) turned against her mother because she believed Phyllis behaved recklessly.
Diane stands far above Phyllis right now. She has reconnected with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), who holds great sway over Summer and earned Jack’s engagement ring in relatively short order.

Teaming with Jeremy, regardless of Phyllis’ endgame, reflects the intense level of risk she is willing to take. He is as dangerous as Phyllis considers him to be.
In her mind, Phyllis believes she is defending her family, which includes Jack. Jeremy seeks revenge against Diane and hopes Phyllis can help him achieve that deeply desired victory on Y&R.
