Melinda does not like EJ because he does not follow the spirit of the law. Melinda is the district attorney for Salem. Melinda wants to bring criminals to justice. Melinda knows that EJ is a lawyer who uses his legal knowledge to further his own goals. Melinda is aware that EJ has helped his sister Kirsten DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) to deal with her legal problems in the past.
Melinda does not like Kristen because she is responsible for her daughter Haley Chen’s (Thia Megia) death. Melinda wants to find a way to get back at EJ for helping Kristen. Melinda was surprised that Stefan needed her help to deal with EJ. Melinda believes that she can help Stefan to find a way to take down EJ.
DOOL Spoilers – Melinda Trask Puts On A Show To Help Stefan DiMera And Gabi Hernandez
Melinda found out that Stefan and Gabi are having trouble being able to reunite. Stefan and Gabi have been kept apart because of Gabi’s husband Li Shin (Remington Hoffman). Stefan had nearly died but was saved by Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton). Stefan wanted to be able to get back with Gabi but Li conspired with Kristen and Dr. Rolf to prevent Stefan from getting to Gabi. Li and Kristen had gotten Dr. Rolf to brainwash Stefan to want to be with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) and reject Gabi.
Stefan and Gabi have found out the truth about Li. Stefan discovered that EJ found out that Li had conspired against him and Gabi. EJ had decided to help Li to keep him from losing Gabi. Stefan has been able to be deprogrammed and wants to be able to get Gabi back in his life. Stefan had decided to try to get revenge on EJ but his plan went off the rails.
Stefan had thought that he and EJ had been able to form a truce. Stefan had wanted to get back with Gabi but he has found out that she has made a deal with Li. Gabi needs to stay married and loyal to Li in order to get his shares in Stefan’s family company DiMera Enterprises.
Stefan and Gabi had thought that EJ and his girlfriend Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) wanted to help them to find a way to be together without Li finding out. Nicole and EJ had set Gabi and Stefan up to found out having a romantic encounter at the Salem Inn. Stefan had decided to send Gabi away because he believed that Nicole and EJ were setting him and Gabi up. Stefan contacted Melinda to get her to help him to make Li believe that he was with her and not Gabi. Stefan was shocked that his plan worked. Stefan may believe that he will need to get Melinda to help him again.
