The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) wanted Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) out of her life. But she is unprepared for the reality of what that means.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) are in the midst of what they believe is a masterful ruse. They appear to be framing Diane for Phyllis’ murder, which plays off Diane’s faked murder many soapy years ago.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jeremy Stark’s Role In The Ruse
Jeremy is the mastermind behind this plot. Phyllis is responsible for giving him access to Diane by providing her location. Phyllis initially did not want Jeremy to know who she was. As devoted fans recall, she used an untraceable phone to call him after he earned early parole.
Stafford’s character told Jeremy that Diane was responsible for reporting him to the authorities for money laundering in return for immunity. Phyllis did not know that to be true but felt it necessary to include that speculation to ensure Jeremy’s trip to Genoa City, Wisconsin.
Hyde recently used social media to seemingly announce his departure from the cast. That implies Jeremy will soon be written away from the plot either temporarily or permanently.
Y&R Spoilers – Diane Jenkins Can Not Escape The Past
Diane knew she would face backlash after revealing she was never accidentally murdered by Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). But Walters’ character did not anticipate the level to which Phyllis would respond.
Working at Jabot proved disastrous for Phyllis, who believed she could outwit Diane. Phyllis did not anticipate Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) turn from her to the woman who abandoned him and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
The past is alive and being mined by Jeremy and Phyllis, who are attempting to use Diane’s faked death trick against her. While viewers sense Diane will surely escape a long-term jail stay, current events will prove intense.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jack Abbott Reinvested In Son’s Mother
Jack used Kyle’s ability to forgive Diane as a measuring stick. Bergman’s character channeled his outrage through to understanding when accepting Diane’s story that she was mentally unfit when faking her demise.

Diane offered an insightful observation in the immediate aftermath of Phyllis’ supposed death by flames in the ambulance. Walters’ further embattled character told Jack she knew Phyllis was important to him.
Yet, Jack’s love of Phyllis will be tested when he learns that she and Jeremy are attempting to frame Diane. The setup is that Diane will be said to have administered poison into Phyllis’ system, which created the collapse at the gala and the need to be taken in that fated ambulance on Y&R.
