The Young and The Restless spoilers, news, and updates tease that Thad Luckinbill, who played J.T. Hellstrom, will be in the new series Lioness.
The new Paramount+ series Lioness casts Thad Luckinbill in a major recurring role. The main casts include Zoe Saldana, Laysla De Oliveira, Nicole Kidman, James Jordan, Dave Annable, Austin Hebert, and Britney Spears’s husband, Sam Asghari, among others.
The series is created by Taylor Sheridan, who is also behind successful shows like the Yellowstone series and Tulsa King. According to reports, the series is about an actual CIA program that focuses on bringing down an inside terrorist organization. Thad will play the character of Kyle, a friend of Zoe Saldana’s character Joe.

His character in the series The Young and The Restless was mentioned recently, but since he landed a new role, he may not probably reprise his role anytime soon.
Thad’s character J.T. Hellstrom first appeared in Y&R in August 1999 in a recurring role. He eventually left in November 2010, but Thad reprised his role in 2017 and 2018. His character was presumed dead in 2018 until he appeared again in February 2019 for a major revelation that he didn’t die.
Since then, loyal fans have been expecting as to when Thad will reprise his role. And as his character was mentioned in recent episodes, fans are expecting a comeback. One instance is that Audra (played by Zuleyka Silver) mentioned J.T. to Elena (played by Brytni Sarpy) to have him as a guest in her podcast.
But fans shouldn’t be hopeless as he still could reprise his role in the future, especially now that he was often mentioned in the series. It’s like they’re leaving breadcrumbs and trying to make sure that J.T. won’t be forgotten throughout the show.

For movies, he appeared in the 2022 film Devotion and TV movies such as Broken and Matchmake Santa.
His role in the upcoming Lioness is a huge deal as he is acting side by side with major Hollywood stars. It could be the start of something bigger for Thad.
