Sharing several highlights as Summer Newman from the past year, the blonde beauty took to her Twitter account to write, “One year since I shot my first episode of #YR. I’m so grateful for all the lessons, laughs, and friends I’ve made! Looking forward to what is to come.”
Needless to say, many of Allison’s Twitter fans and followers commented on her post. They wrote, “Allison you stepped into the role of Summer flawlessly. You’ve done a great job with the role and especially these recent emotional scenes. Can’t wait to see what happens next with Summer,” along with, “You have been phenomenal I love how you took that role and made it your own! I’m so excited to see what’s next for Summer and for Kyle and Summer as a couple.”
Another fan wrote, “Allison, you are killing your scenes. It’s hard taking over from another actress but you have made Summer your own, I’m happy you are on the show. #teamsummer.”

Back in January, Allison opened up about working with the cast and crew of The Young and the Restless. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Allison admitted that working with Michael Mealor, who plays Kyle Abbott, has been a dream. She said, “Michael is so great! I feel really lucky that he has been my partner in this crazy world I was dropped into. There are so many wonderful things I could say here, but I think the best part about working with him is how much we laugh. We have similar senses of humor and crack up all of the time.”

Allison had nothing but positive things to say about actress Michelle Stafford, who plays Phyllis. She said, “I still learn from Michelle every time I work with her, or watch her. I just saw the scene where Jeremy Stark sneaks up on her in the Jabot office and she has a jump scare. I loved it. She brought so many levels to the fear Phyllis must be feeling, while also knowing that she is the reason he’s in town to begin with. Michelle and I have built a friendship off-screen, especially since getting to play this mother/daughter conflict out a bit and having some tension in our scenes together. She’s much more cool and laid back than her character is.”
