Unable to protect Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) from losing her mom, he might overprotect his sister Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

Nick had been suspicious of Nate when he claimed to be staying at The Grand Phoenix because of a fight with Elena Dawson, (Brytni Sarpy) this had been last month. He’d noticed something between Nate and Victoria that didn’t seem quite appropriate, and he’s concerned Elena could be hurt, but he may worry over Victoria too. Even though Nate had been the Newman family physician for years, since he left medicine and went into business he seems to be a different person.

Elena doesn’t think that’s such a good thing, and Nick seems concerned as well-Victoria has never been the best chooser of men, although Nate’s no Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). Nevertheless, he may feel he needs to protect both his sister and Elena concerning Nate’s straying eye and bad behavior choices.

Y & R Spoilers – Audra Charles Sees Something She Shouldn’t, Spills The Tea

Not only Nick, but Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) keeps a constant spy eye on the activities in the Newman CEO office, and she’s even been “befriending” Elena. Audra probably wants Nate for herself, since she’s been trying to convince Elena to interview JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) on her podcast. Longtime viewers will remember JT was Victoria’s abusive husband who terrorized her, even though it was due to a brain tumor, now removed.

She’s still afraid enough of JT for Nick to have played a mean trick a few years ago impersonating him-although he would never do that now. Audra sees something she shouldn’t, or at least overhears it outside the office door when Nate and Victoria get down and dirty on the desk and she spills the tea!

Of course this tryst will get back to Nick, whether Audra tells him directly or not, he could overhear something she’s saying to someone else and intervene. It would make sense for Audra to do something to break Nate up with both Elena and Victoria, and this would be the prime opportunity. She may decide to spill the tea directly to Nick, and he’ll confront Nate over the sordid secret.

Nate might try to excuse himself by saying whatever that was, it’s out of his system and promises to do right by Elena. But it may not be just Elena Nick is worried about, he’ll tell him to stay away from Victoria, not realizing she’s been the aggressor.
