GH spoilers (GH) spoilers hint that little Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) likely won’t be headed home to Port Charles anytime soon. The baby is currently sailing the open sea with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), who had one of his goons ransack Laura Colllins’s (Genie Francis) home and knock out Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) to steal the child. Of course, Ms. Prince is a wreck now, and thankfully Laura has been by her side since to help with her injuries and emotional distress. Are these two ladies forming a mother-daughter bond?
General Hospital Spoilers – Laura Collins Has Always Been There For Esme Prince
GH spoilers suggest that Laura and Esme’s bond could continue to grow in the weeks and months ahead. It’s clear that the young mom trusts Port Charles’s mayor more than anyone else since she returned to the little town with amnesia. Although Laura has always been there for Ms. Prince. Even before her amnesia, during a time when Esme wasn’t being honest, and Laura knew it. Despite this, and despite sensing something was “off” with the young lady, Collins still welcomed Prince into her home when she first arrived in the little town as Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) girlfriend. There were times Laura talked with Esme, tried to help her sort out her issues, and also gave her the benefit of the doubt; even knowing the teen’s manipulative tendencies.
With that said, so much has changed now, and because of Esme’s amnesia. Laura continues to extend her knowledge, support, and advice to Ms. Prince; however, this time around, it’s being genuinely accepted by a very lost Ms. Prince.
GH Spoilers – Laura Collins Knows All Too Well The Trauma Esme Price Has Endured
Laura was put off when she first met Esme. She was still kind and fair to the young lady, but Ms. Prince oozed entitlement. So much time has gone by since Esme first came to Port Charles, and so much has happened. Laura can understand why Prince has done what she’s done. Not that it excuses her behavior, but the poor girl had Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) as a father and was raised by a nanny. Maybe it was a good thing Heather Webber (Alley Mills) wasn’t present in her life. But that doesn’t discount the fact that Ms. Prince didn’t have a mom growing up.

Laura can sense that Esme has changed and whether it’s because of all she’s endured (kidnapping, being held hostage, having amnesia, being out on the run with her delusional parents) or it’s because of being a mom to Ace. If Prince is to truly change after she “remembers” then she’ll need someone on her side. Looks like Laura may be that cheerleader to not only help Esme on her road to redemption but also become the positive role model Prince has needed all her life.

As of now, I believe Laura’s good side is allowing her to have blinders as to Esme’s change. Laura has always been one to give the benefit of the doubt – hope Esme does not allow Laura to wish she had never tried to help her. Of course Esme is supposedly the mother of Laura’s first born child which also could have an effect on Laura’s forgiving nature to Esme. Just have to wait and see how Esme’s story is developed.
