Stephanie knows that Thomas is a dangerous man. Thomas had been hired by Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson) to kill Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) in the past. Stephanie has found out that Megan had kidnapped Kayla, Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) to conduct an experiment on them. Stephanie knew that her father Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) had been able to find Megan. John and Steve had been shocked to find Marlena.

Steve and John had hoped to find Kate but Marlena has told them that she believes that Kate had been killed. Steve found out from Megan that Thomas had taken Kayla. Steve did not know that Megan had lied to him about Thomas taking Kayla. Steve has found out that Kayla had been taken by her brother Bo Brady (Peter Reckell). Steve and Kayla have reunited but they are being held hostage by Bo. Steve and Kayla are hoping that they can convince Bo to let them go.
