General Hospital spoilers tease that Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) could sense that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) were drawn to each other from the moment they met. Esme and Spencer arrived in Port Charles together as a couple. And even though Esme had been sent to romance Spencer by her father Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), she couldn’t help but be jealous of Trina and Spencer’s closeness. Ryan wanted to break up Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) marriage to Nicholas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma).

Spencer arrived in Port Charles several months before he told his family where he was. That gave Spencer and Esme opportunity to scare Ava so badly that she would leave her husband, But Spencer was outed before things escalated to that point. By then Trina and Spencer were clearly drawn to each other. However, Spencer remained loyal to Esme until he realized Esme framed Trina for uploading a video of Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) having sex with Cameron Webber (William Lipton) to the internet.

Trina went to trial for the revenge porn scheme, and it seemed as if Trina would be found guilty and go to prison. Spencer grew to hate Esme but he stayed with ger until the charges were dropped. Luckily at the last minute, a witness came forward with enough information that Trina was soon freed. Esme was then given another task right around the same time that made it easy for Spencer dump Esme. Esme actually seduced Nikolas and soon she discovered she was pregnant,

Nikolas knew that Esme was wanted by the police for both the revenge porn school and as a suspect in the Hook murders. Nikolas refused to allow his child to be born in a prison. So he kept Esme prisoner until she gave birth. After that, Nikolas planned to take the baby to raise himself and Esme believed he would kill her after that. Esme escaped by jumping out of the tower, falling into the icy water below. Esme survived, although she lost her memory. Esme seemed like a completely different personality, and she had no reason to hate Trina any longer.

Because Nikolas was the father of Esme’s baby, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) kidnapped the baby because he was about to commit genocide by unleashing a deadly pathogen into the world that would end the lives of a majority of Earth’s population. Victor still wants an heir and he chose Esme’s baby to carry on his family’s name. Esme is beside herself with worry and once she finds out that Trina is also there, Esme’s feelings of jealousy toward her former enemy. Perhaps Esme and Trina are meant to be enemies forever.
