The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is months away from giving birth to the child she and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) are expecting this summer. In a classic Y&R scenario, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) remains Sally’s romantic choice.
A Newman brother battle is something devoted viewers have seen before. Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) know the war stories. Plus, the late Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan) is the mother of the rarely seen Christian Newman (Alex Wilson), who is Adam’s son though Nick has raised him as his own with his brother’s blessing.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Seen As A Good Father
Nick or Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) do not see Adam as a good sibling. Abby Newman Abbott (Melissa Ordway) has not been involved in nearly as many conflicts with Adam as her brother and sister have. But she is leery of him.
Grossman’s character harbors false ideas about his childhood, wrongly blaming Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for not being part of his life during the early years. Yet, Adam knows his late mother, Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman), told him her choice was to return to the farm in Kansas.
However, Chelsea stands by Adam as a good father. Sharon sings Adam’s praises in that regard as well. Nick recognizes his younger brother’s strengths too.
YR Spoilers – Nick Newman Was Cautious
Nick did not jump headlong into a relationship with Sally when he was first attracted to her. He knew she was in love with Adam and understood their history of being involved with many of the same women was problematic.
Sally reassured Nick that she moved past Adam during the early stages of their courtship. But there was a momentary period when she and Nick were not together, and the one-time cavort with Adam happened,
So, Nick’s caution was justified but did not prevent the triangular conflict he is entangled in.

But Adam’s tell to his father reinforces reality. Adam is the father of Sally’s child, and he still cares about her deeply.
Nick knows Adam’s genetic tie to the baby means he can not back off Sally. Of course, Adam does not want to. But a good question is what Sally feels in the deepest part of her heart for Adam on Y&R.
