When some tainted Sweet Bits breakfast biscuits made their way through Salem recently, everyone who had some also had an interesting time. Much of that time, sex was on the mind. We now know who many characters really want and it’s clear more than ever that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) belong together. It’s also clear that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) certainly has a thing for Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu)but Jada has a mystery to solve.

Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) still insists that it was Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) who laced those biscuits with a drug that made people act out of character (or maybe in character, as the case may be). We even saw how much Chanel and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) still want one another. Sloan proclaims her innocence, especially with Eric, so Jada has more questions for Chanel and Chanel’s baking assistant, her own sister Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian).

The audience knows that it was Talia who spiked those biscuits and Jada may soon figure it all out as well because Talia is not very good at covering for herself. When she tells Rafe she returned home at a certain hour, Jada knows that is not true considering the fact that they share a very small living space.

“Jada and Talia live together,” Elia Cantu said in the May 1, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “Jada would know if Talia was home or not…So, Jada definitely has some suspicions. Jada has to determine is this in her head or if her sister is lying to her or leaving out information.”
So, why did Talia do it? There is definitely something more to this young woman than meets the eye. After all, she is a doctor who wants to now work in a bakery so this is not normal at all. Jada already knows Talia’s reasons for working with Chanel seem off and she is determined to get to the bottom of things.
