Michelle StaffordThe Young and The Restless spoilers, news, and updates reveal that Michell Stafford, who plays Phyllis Summers in the show, is nominated for an Emmy.

Michelle Stafford admits that she was shocked that she was nominated for an Emmy. The Daytime Emmy Awards nominations were announced last Wednesday, April 26. Stafford said that her friend texted her.

Her friend texted her congratulations and said that she deserved it. There was an image attached to the message, and at first, she couldn’t see it clearly. Then she thought it was a joke when she saw the names.

She revealed that she didn’t know that the nominees would be announced that day and added that it was so cool. She said that she hasn’t heeded those kinds of things. But she also revealed that she was prepared not to be nominated and was fine with it. So, it was a shock to be nominated when you least expect it.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers –  Michelle Stafford’s 11th nomination

It was Michelle’s 11th nomination for the Daytime Emmy Awards. She had already won twice. She won the Outstanding Supporting Actress in 1997. And then, in 2004, she won in the Lead Actress category.

The last time she was nominated was in 2013, so we could understand why she was entirely shocked when she got nominated this year. She is nominated in the Lead Actress Category alongside Finola Hughes (General Hospital), Jacqueline Macinnes Wood (The Bold and The Beautiful), and some of her co-stars in

Y&R Spoilers – Sharon Case and Melissa Claire Egan.

She said it was nice to be nominated. But she also said that she feels like it’s mostly luck that makes one nominated. She stated that often, there is some oversight when it comes to these things. Let’s admit it, there are hundreds of shows with thousands of actors, and to be recognized, it could be either luck that you got noticed, or you really did an incredible job to get noticed.

She also said that luck is not only for awards shows. Sometimes, an actor/actress is lucky to have a great storyline as well. Not all can be given a great storyline, no matter how great of an actor they are.

She also said that acting is not as simple as a Stanley Cup, where when you get a higher number of goals, you win. Acting is subjective. Sometimes, even if you have landed a lot of roles, it doesn’t mean you will get recognized for all of them.

But even though she’s nominated, she said she would like her co-star Melissa Claire Egan to take home the award.
