The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) might become, ironically, Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) hero. Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) conversation about their mom with Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) didn’t go that well, so Grandpa Victor might be her next stop.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Fixing Serious Family Problems
Victor has a habit of fixing serious family problems and covering them up in some cases, to the consternation of former son in law Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). Chance didn’t like it when Victor and his men interfered in Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) death investigation and made it look like a car accident. Chance knew it was a coverup from start to finish when Nick and Victoria Newman (Josh Morrow, Amelia Heinle) called him to Victoria’s house that night.
Nick had gotten in a fight with Locke in the process of trying to protect his sister, and Locke fell, hitting the back of his head on the fireplace hearth, fatally. But by the time Chance got there, a simple case of self-defense became a Newman machine cover up, Locke’s body missing.
Y & R Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Has No Way Out
As Summer discussed with Daniel, Phyllis has no way out – and the longer they cover up for their mother, the more people they have to lie to. Daniel wanted to go to Chance with the information right away, feeling Chance could help, but Summer was dead set against it. Phyllis has no way to prove that she killed Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) in self-defense or that she didn’t want to go through with their plot. Meanwhile, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is still being framed for Phyllis’ death when Phyllis isn’t dead at all, putting Summer at odds with her husband. But Summer knows if anyone can make this problem all go away for her mom, her grandpa Victor can.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Putting On The Pressure
A few years back, Summer was heartbroken over Victor’s death when he faked it with the help of Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to teach Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) a lesson. Summer, and a few others of the younger generation were left out of the loop with them finding out the real story later after Adam was cleared of changing Victor’s medication. The situation is eerily similar to Phyllis continuing to fake her death to get revenge on Diane, and Adam had blamed himself for Victor’s death.

Summer might remind her grandfather of that fiasco and that what her mother’s doing isn’t much different-besides, Victor hates Stark too. Summer knows if anyone can get her mother out of the mess she’s in, it would be her grandpa Victor.
